WildEyre

WildEyre is composed of individuals from a variety of organisations who are interested in landscape conservation on Eyre Peninsula.

WildEyre is developing a Conservation Action Plan (CAP) for 1.2 million ha area on the West Coast of Eyre Peninsula. Conservation action planning is a process for planning, implementing and measuring the success of conservation projects that has been tested and refined over the years. The process identifies the species and ecosystems that you wish to protect; assesses their health; analyses their threats; and finally develops effective conservation strategies that allow you to measure project success.

The WildEyre CAP is a collaborative approach involving staff from organisations including:
  • Eyre Peninsula Landscape Board
  • Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources
  • Greening Australia (SA)
  • The Wilderness Society (SA)
  • Nature Conservation Society of South Australia.
